The Story of Our Tea Leaves
Our beautiful lemon balm and peppermint plants run rampant throughout our pristine property. We have never sprayed our plants and have never used chemicals of any kind on our property (even inside our home). We have been utilizing these two plants specifically with the purpose of bringing delicious drinking tea for many years. Both lemon balm and peppermint are hardy and invasive, yet we allow the masses to accumulate and provide us a bounty, which we enjoy year round. My 11-year old son has been harvesting the plants for his own consumption, and because of his joy in this, he was asked if he would like to participate in this blessed project. He gleefully assumes full responsibility for the continued sustainable harvesting of these leaves. With the harvesting of our herbs, we ask their permission before we take them.
